Pray for our nation

These are troubling times no matter how you spin it.

Our nation feels like it's bubbling over with opinions and hate. I'm tired of all of the yelling and I feel like social media sometimes just churns more and more drama out daily. Sometimes I just want to delete it all.

Personally if labeling is necessary, I would be considered a more liberal democrat. So as you can imagine, the election did not go the way I had hoped. But I will never understand how people think rioting will accomplish anything except to hurt the local businesses in the community. Peaceful protests are the only way we can gather and be taken seriously. I wish more people would exercise their constitutional right to assemble to get their point across. Watching the Women's March made my heart so happy! Seeing so many women all across America coming together to ensure their voices are heard was so incredibly beautiful and empowering. I just pray the powers that be hear us and proceed with with the knowledge we are a powerful force when we stand together and we deserve equal treatment in all aspects.

Moving forward, we have to be realistic. We have this administration for the next 4 years minimum. Nothing our new president has said or done, no matter how troubling disgusting, or completely sexist has stopped a large group of Americans to back him. So I pray so hard for this country and I hope you do too. I pray for our safety on the global scale, I pray for our rights as individuals, and I pray for our economy that it improve.
