The Walk to End Alzheimer's 2016!

My grandmother and great aunt have Alzheimer's and I have seen first hand how it completely ravages the mind and really steals the person's life away. My aunt and my mother have really been the ones to make sure my grandmother doesn't suffer and has the best quality of life she can. But even with all of the comforts they can provide Alzheimer's is a horrible disease and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

So when I heard about the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer's in Houston, I knew it was a cause I

wanted to support. My family and friend's group was called ALZ that JAZZ and we had so much fun dressed as flappers for the day! That was until we changed into our Alz walk gear and tackled the 5k!

But MOST importantly, our team raised almost $1,500 for the cause!!!!

We had so much fun together and I am thrilled the money goes toward a cause I care so deeply about! And it was wonderful that we were able to find a way to do good and get active on the weekend when my family usually tries to lounge around the house.
